Honors Program

Honors Curriculum
Fall 2006/Spring 2007

The curriculum for Honors students varies slightly depending on choice of major. The major difference is that students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree take different Honors science and math courses than students pursuing Bachelor of Science degrees.

Honors students majoring in mathematics, computer science, and physics, for example, will take MATH 113 and 114 instead of HNRS 125 and 226, more advanced math courses designed to prepare them for their major. And Honors students whose major is in the natural sciences, engineering, or mathematics, will take more advanced science courses than HNRS 227 and 228.

Moreover, because certain majors require courses in the major to be taken in the freshman year, not all Honors students will necessarily take all Honors courses in the exact sequence. The following examples show the course requirements for both Bachelor of Arts students and Bachelor of Science students in the Honors curriculum.

Spring 2007 course information will be available October, 2006. See archives from Spring 2006 info as a general guideline.
