1. This program requires a total of 123 credit hours, 5 of which must
be earned during summer school and 45 of which must be at the 300+ level.
2. Two of the following in Music History in Society I, II & IV (MUSI
331, 332, 432) substitutes for HNRS 121 & 122.
3. Music History in Society III (MUSI 431) substitutes for HNRS 230.
4. a. Voice majors take Vocal Pedagogy and Lab in
lieu of two secondary instrument credits. b. Piano and guitar
majors take four credits of UPMI-Voice in lieu of four secondary instrument
credits. Piano and guitar majors do not take Vocal Pedagogy and Lab. c.
Winds, strings and percussion majors take eight credits of secondary instruments.
5. The Synthesis Requirement in General Education must be met within the
major.
